Tumelo ke Lethabo Foundation was founded in 2021 by Mrs. Tumi Tshidi-Khumalo, a published author and experienced financial services professional with a strong background in banking and financial management. Having worked for two major banks and accumulated nearly 15 years of experience in the financial sector, she developed a deep understanding of community development, economic empowerment, and social responsibility.
In 2021, Ms. Tshidi-Khumalo felt a calling to dedicate her time and resources to philanthropy and community upliftment. What began as a mission to feed the homeless soon expanded into a broader initiative aimed at supporting vulnerable communities. Through the foundation, she has led food parcel distribution programmes for underprivileged families, child-headed households, and individuals facing financial hardship.
Driven by compassion and a commitment to restoring dignity, the foundation seeks to make a meaningful impact by addressing food insecurity, promoting education, and supporting community development initiatives. Under Ms. Tshidi-Khumalo's leadership, Tumelo ke Lethabo Foundation continues to serve as a beacon of hope for disadvantaged individuals, inspiring positive change and encouraging a spirit of giving within communities.
The foundation's vision is to build stronger, healthier, and more self-sustaining communities by providing both immediate relief and long-term support to those in need. Through partnerships, volunteerism, and community engagement, Tumelo ke Lethabo Foundation remains committed to transforming lives and creating opportunities for a brighter future.
The foundation's work under her leadership touches the areas that matter most.
Food parcels and meals for families and child-headed households.
Supporting learners so they can stay in school and thrive.
Restoring hope and respect for people facing hardship.
Building self-sustaining communities through partnership.
Faith and joy can exist even in the hardest circumstances β and together we can restore both.
